Joel started his business journey at the age of fourteen producing a show that raised money for the Parry Charitable Foundation. A year later he founded Make Believe (2004) and since then it proudly stands as an international brand, enabling thousands of young people to receive the finest quality of performing arts training.
In recognition of Joel’s achievements the Federation of Small Business has chosen him as the South East Region Young Entrepreneur of 2014.
As Joel says: “What you put into life you get back in return. With one mind, one dream and one focus you can achieve anything.”
“I know Joel’s dream was always to help young people – in particular those less fortunate than us, and the launch of the Make Believe Foundation now has the opportunity to provide those with learning difficulties the opportunity to experience the benefits of the performing arts and for that I am
incredibly proud of him. He has touched the lives of thousands of young people, building a platform for them to express themselves and have fun in a safe and friendly place – what an incredible thing to have achieved and I am thankful that I have a chance to be a part of it.”
